GETTING HERE

You can reach Wenckheim Palace from Budapest via the main road No. 44, while from Szeged and Debrecen by the main road No. 47. From Békéscsaba and Gyula, follow the signs to Újkígyós/Szabadkígyós (unnumbered, minor road).

ACCESSIBILITY

We kindly ask people holding a disabled person’s certificate arriving at the Palace Park by car to inform us in advance about their arrival via email, at szabadkigyosikastely@nofnkft.hu. The entrance permit is valid only with prior appointment and confirmation.

Visitors can enter the main building of the palace, which houses the exhibition, via the main entrance by means of the lift for disabled people. There is also an accessible washroom and a baby changing facility on the ground floor. All of the ground floor spaces and facilities of the palace are wheelchair accessible.

By public transport

Visitors taking a bus to Szabadkígyós should get off at the Nefelejcs bus stop. From here, the palace is a 10-minute walk. Szabadkígyós cannot be reached by train.

Parking

Free parking is available in the temporary parking area (non-asphalted and unimproved) accessible from Áchim András Street.

Opening hours of the parking area: daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. (every day).

Parking on both sides of Áchim András Street is a nuisance to the residential area and is therefore FORBIDDEN!
